Crewel

Crewel embroidery was developed in the 17th century and originally known as Jacobean. Anne creates her own designs on linen fabric using wool thread and many other craft items. The Three Camels is one of her most exquisite pieces, created on Bauneen fabric (made from 100% Irish wool). The Camels reflects her extensive creativity in 3D and Crewel embroidery. Anne’s work has the contrast of the simplistic line work in the background to the complexity of details.
