Anne has been embroidering all her life. In 2000 she decided to take her embroidery work a step further and design her own pieces. Anne comes from a long line of creative people. She first learned how to stitch from her father Tommy Flanagan who was also a wood turner and carpenter and later learned basic needlework in school. Anne’s husband Ned is a gifted carpenter and lends his skills to many of Anne’s project as well as being involved in his share of the framing duties.

Since 2003 Anne has exhibited in many locations in Ireland and has been teaching the art of embroidery to many students from around the world. Her traditional Mountmellick Wedding Cushion has also been purchased all over the world. Anne is steadily earning herself a great reputation as one of the very best in her field.
